About Wallethammer

Wallethammer is a free price comparison tool for Warhammer 40k products sold by Australian retailers. We aggregate publicly available product information and pricing from retailer websites to help hobbyists find the best deals.

Automatically Collected Information

When you visit our website, we collect a small amount of aggregate information about the visit:

  • Page views - Which pages were visited, and when
  • Referring source - The site or campaign link that brought you here
  • Approximate location - Country only, never a precise location
  • Device information - Device type, browser, operating system, and screen size
  • Product interactions - That a search was run, whether it returned results, and which retailer a visitor clicked through to

Your IP address is used momentarily to work out the country and is not stored. We do not build visitor profiles, and we cannot identify you from this data.

Information You Do Not Provide

Important: Wallethammer does not require user accounts, registration, or login. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personal identifying information unless you choose to contact us directly.

How We Use Information

Third-Party Retailer Links

This information is publicly available on retailer websites and does not include any customer personal information.

Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute data security.

How Long We Keep Information

Aggregate analytics data is retained for six months and then deleted. We periodically review and delete outdated price data to ensure information remains current and relevant.

Use of Cookies

Wallethammer does not use cookies. We set no tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, and no analytics cookies, and there is no cookie consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

The only thing we store in your browser is your light/dark theme preference, kept in your browser's local storage on your own device. It never leaves your device and is never sent to us.

Analytics

We use Umami to understand how the site is used. Umami is a privacy-first, cookieless analytics service, and we have chosen it specifically because it does not track individuals.

What this means in practice:

  • No cookies and no persistent identifiers. Visits are grouped into anonymous sessions using a one-way hash that is regenerated daily, so the same person cannot be recognised from one day to the next.
  • No personal data. We never send your search terms, contact form contents, email address, or any identifier to our analytics.
  • No cross-site tracking. Umami cannot follow you to other websites, and we do not use analytics for advertising.
  • Aggregate product events only. We record that a search was submitted, whether it returned results, and which retailer was clicked — never what was searched for.
  • We never sell or share this data.

Analytics data is processed by Umami Software, Inc. in the United States and is retained for six months. Analytics runs only on the live wallethammer.com website; it is disabled during local development and testing.

Your Rights and Privacy Control

You have the right to:

  • Access - Request details of any personal information we may hold about you
  • Correction - Request correction of information that is inaccurate or out of date
  • Deletion - Request deletion of personal information
  • Objection - Object to processing of your personal information

Since we do not collect personal information through normal use of the site, these rights primarily apply to any communications you may have initiated with us directly.

Children's Privacy

Wallethammer does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Our service is intended for hobbyists of all ages, but we do not target children or collect personal information from any users.
